With an inviting and casual atmosphere, the cafe serves up an array of delectable treats that cater to all palates. Dive into their Lite Bites menu, where you can experience combinations such as the Bacon, Brie & Cranberry sandwich, balancing savory and sweet flavors perfectly. For those looking for something more traditional, the Full English Breakfast comes highly recommended by guests and promises a hearty start to your day.

The sides are equally tempting, with options like Cheesy Chips and Bean Chilli & Chips that can elevate any meal, making them comforting companions to your main fare. And don’t forget to pamper your sweet tooth with their delightful offerings in the Others section, including Hot Chocolate and various flavors of ice cream that are perfect for cooling down after a brisk walk in the nearby park.

Customer experiences echo the cafe's charm and quality. One satisfied patron, Dawn Kelly, lauded the friendly service and community feel, remarking how their dog Lola was spoiled with treats. Matt O'Neill has made frequent visits with family, excited to share that the cafe consistently impresses with its food and welcoming ambience. Other reviews, like that of Hucclecote Group, highlight the staff's dedication to customer service, even going the extra mile to prepare a coffee before opening hours.

While a few guests, such as Chris Hebbron, touched on the cafe's decor being a bit lacking, the overwhelming sentiment is one of warmth, friendly exchanges, and a menu that delivers comfort food with ease. Jane Spashett noted the joy not just for humans but for pets as well, mentioning the dog's ice cream as a delightful touch.

Whether you’re looking for a leisurely breakfast, a casual lunch, or just a cozy place to unwind with friends (and pets!), the Phoenix Cafe Bar stands out as a cherished community spot in Gloucester. My partner and I have come to the Phoenix cafe multiple times and have brought our parents and family when they have come to visit us. We have always been impressed by the food drink and staff. The cafe allows dogs which is great (in my opinion)! We always have this on our shortlist for food if we are stumped for breakfast or lunch.

First class service from the lovely owner who rusted up a coffee even though not open this morning.. generally a great place, licensed, straightforward food, and friendly staff, and you can watch the over 60’s football if you are so inclined ed

This is inside to community centre alongside Morrison's Supermarket. We visited as supporters of an outside event which was taking place. Coffee and food were fine, but we thought that the decor was not very cosy and lacking character. No carpet or curtains and bland decor now, which made it a bit echo'y. The original decor and seating were much better. Improvement is often deterioration, unfortunately. Shame.
